The last Steering Group meeting was held on the 13th March.

The new Steering Group formation was the headline of the day – read on for more information.

• With 17 people sitting around the table, it was bound to be a full day, and as it transpired a day of some significance.
    
• Perhaps the first significant fact was that among the 17 in attendance there were 2 from the Integrators Forum.
  
  It is the aim of your User Group to link with as many relevant other organisations as is appropriate, and as you all know, we all need our integrators!!!  We hope that the Integrators Forum will continue to be represented on the User Group.
    
  
• A session on the Software Support Agreement proved to be productive – do you know what and what not your SSA actually is?  You (if you have a SSA) purchased that from Software House.  However you cannot purchase it directly, so you have to use your Integrator.  So do not get confused, but make sure your Service Level Agreement with your Integrator is robust.
  
  An action item for your Steering Group is to put together a document listing some of the more important ‘bullet points’ that your SLA should contain.
    
• The group continues to put pressure on Tyco to ensure that approved and trained Integrators have all been issued with an ID card.  The purpose is that when an engineer turns up at your site, (always assuming you are using approved and trained Integrators!), you can check to make sure they are suitably qualified.
    
  
• The Group were given an update on developments for next versions, but the development team in Lexington want to know what YOU want in the future. There is an opportunity to respond on the Forum pages.   Without knowing what you want, they cannot supply it.
    
• Finally, having got you to read this far, the changes in the Group formation!! We are now beginning to get root and file members, one of the objectives of the User Group of course, but the Steering Group need to be better placed to take the C-CURE User Group to this next stage of its’ development, so:
  
  There will be a Core Steering Group made up of 5 plus the Chairman.
  
  There will be an Extended Steering Group of some 12 and
  
  There will be YOU (unless you want to volunteer to be one of the Steering Group).
