The minutes from the CCUG Steering Committee held on June 14th are now available for download. Please click here to read the minutes.

Chairman Re-Elected
The CCUG Steering Committee met in December 2006 and Bob Martin was reappointed the Chairman. Bob said his objective for 2007 is that now there is a good basic structure to the CCUG to increase the general membership. If you are reading this and are not yet a member, please complete the membership form.

Links With The Customer Advisory Council In The US
The Customer Advisory Council is the C-CURE end user group in the US We in the CCUG are very keen to ensure that the CCUG and CAC are in accord, and have the ability to share best practice where possible. This will ensure that all C-CURE End Users, in EMEA and the US , benefit from our joint experience & knowledge. The CCUG is already building links with Integrators, and as the general membership grows we would seek any other appropriate links where the end user community can benefit.

Partner Program - ID Cards Launched
You may recall from reading the news pages earlier, that the CCUG is very pleased to have been able to contribute suggestions to this program. The programme was launched in January 2007. You should soon be able to ask your integrators whether they are members, and if so for their staff to be able to show you an identity card confirming this.

Professional Services
Are you aware that Tyco now provide a Professional Services offering? Have you used it? The CCUG would be very interested to learn of your experience if you have, and of course if you are a member, then share that via the forum.

End-User Manuals
What is your opinion of any end user manuals from Tyco. What is the standard? What is your user base of users, security staff or/and systems designers? Do we need simple guide for some and a very technical guide for others, or something in the middle for all? The CCUG is keen to give input to Tyco so that a definitive set of guides can be compiled.

Give us your thoughts by joining up as a member and sharing them via the members forum.

Reports

We in the CCUG believe that no matter how big or how small your organisation, at some time or other you have wished C-Cure reporting gave you the ability to report on what you have just been asked for in a quick and easy manner.

The CCUG have started to compile a list of ‘Most Wanted Reports', and the developers in the US are very keen to learn what we need in the EMEA region. The best way to tell us is to register as an CCUG Member and use the forum.

Steering Committee - Next Meeting Date

The next meeting of the Steering Committee is scheduled for 15th March 2007 . If there is anything you feel can benefit the CCUG then firstly become a member, it is free, and then let us know. This is YOUR forum, the end users opportunity to have your say not only on what we have today, but what we want tomorrow.

Partner Programme

The CCUG was pleased to be involved in the establishment of the partner programme, and fully supports this initiative. The following is the press release about the partner programme.

Technical Support Services - Professional Services

Tyco are consulting with the CCUG around the establishment of a Technical Support provision. Initial indications are positive and CCUG support the concept of this service. More information will follow.

Tyco Support Channels Improved

We have been advised of an ‘improved' support channel infrastructure. This will in essence bring under one management umbrella both the direct and indirect lines, which has got to make life better for us the end user. Check with your local Tyco people for more information.

R&D

The CCUG are already in discussion with Tyco R&D in the US about future and members will perhaps been pleased to hear that items already brought up are being scheduled for future releases.

Being a member of the CCUG gives you the opportunity to make sure you are ‘heard' about what you want.  Collectively if the CCUG membership identifies something, then we will make sure every effort is made to achieve it.  C-Cure v9.1 has some brilliant enhancements and already there are 10 areas of interest for v9.2 which remember will not be out until 2007.

This is all FREE and for YOUR benefit.
